Awake opening scene

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjdE5ow02HA

The first part is the information about anesthesia awareness.

So you know that it has something to do with the film but not sure what it has to do with it.

The writing is white on a black background.

Make the writing stand out.

The music is very slow.

Played on the piano.

Sounds quite cold.

It cuts to a close-up of an image of something on a wall.

The image is distorted so makes it uncomfortable to watch.

That image then cuts to a close-up of a fish’s head.

Still out of focus.

The next scene is of a picture on the wall of an office.

White credits fade in from out of the wall.

One of the pictures is of a group of doctors and the camera focuses on one of them.

It could be to show who is about to talk so you know who he is.

It then cuts to a hand taking down a picture and the outline of it still on the wall.

This could show that it has been there for a long time or that the office is very dirty.

The next image is of a man sitting in a chair. It is a mid shot.

Then there is a man’s voice, probably the man who is sitting down.

This then cuts to a close-up of a heart and a female’s voice.

This could be what the man is talking about in the office.

It then shows the man who was in the office now in the surgery room standing over a dead body.

That scene could either be a flashback or a flash forward.

The next scene is a close-up of the dead person’s face and the doctor is talking about him

He looks young so this may make you wonder as to how he has died.

It then cuts back to the office with the camera getting closer to the doctors face.
